Metal Slug: Awakening, the mobile game that is a 3D reimagining of the classic franchise, has had a “soft launch” in the Philippines.
The game is available to some players in English, indicating a possible global release in the near future. The release in the Philippines and Southeast Asia will be handled by the publisher VNGGames.

As you can see, Metal Slug: Awakening is exactly the same game that was released this year in China and can be played directly from Brazil. The only difference is the English translation. This may indicate that Level Infinite (Tencent) wants to bring the game to the West as soon as possible.
