No Man’s Sky is finally coming to mobile devices. Hello Games has confirmed that the game will launch for iPhone and iPad on October 28, bringing the full space exploration experience already available on consoles and PC to iOS.
And the best part is that this is not a simplified version. The mobile edition will include all major updates released over the past 10 years.
No Man’s Sky comes to iOS in October
The iPhone and iPad version will follow a “try before you buy” model.
This means players will be able to download the game and try the beginning of the adventure for free. After that, a one-time purchase unlocks the full game.
Hello Games has not yet detailed the final price of the iOS version.
Mobile version includes all major updates
Since its original release, No Man’s Sky has undergone a massive transformation and received dozens of free expansions.
The iOS version launches with all major updates, including Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, Beyond, Origins, Expeditions, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Waypoint, Interceptor, Worlds Part I, Worlds Part II, Voyagers and COSMOS.
In practice, players get immediate access to all the content accumulated since launch.
An entire galaxy on your phone
No Man’s Sky is a space exploration game set in a procedurally generated universe.
Players can travel between solar systems, land on planets, explore unknown worlds, discover creatures, gather resources and build bases.
Travel is seamless. You can leave space and enter a planet’s atmosphere without traditional loading screens.
Exploration, combat and trading
The adventure does not force players into a single path.
You can focus on exploration, trading or combat.
Players who prefer battles can upgrade ships and weapons to face pirates. Those more interested in trading can search for rare resources and sell them for higher prices in other systems.
Explorers, meanwhile, can invest in equipment capable of surviving toxic, frozen or extremely hot planets.
The shared universe is also included
No Man’s Sky features a shared universe where discoveries made by players can appear to others.
Trade routes, factions, pirates and different events continue to unfold while you explore the galaxy.
Hello Games describes the mobile version as a full adaptation of the original experience, not a spin-off created specifically for phones.
Launch set for October 28
No Man’s Sky will launch for iPhone and iPad on October 28, 2026.
