The wave of recompiled games on Android has gained another heavyweight name. Marvel Cosmic Invasion has just received an unofficial port for Android, allowing the Marvel beat ’em up to run directly on phones via APK.
Just as recently happened with games like Need for Speed Most Wanted, Need for Speed Carbon, and Devil May Cry 4, the project is part of this new wave of community-created adaptations to bring PC and console games directly to smartphones.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion now runs on Android
The port brings the complete experience of Marvel Cosmic Invasion to Android, a 2D action game inspired by classic beat ’em ups.
During the stages, the player can quickly switch between two heroes and even call the second character to perform assist attacks and combined moves.
The port demo shows characters like Nova, Wolverine, and Captain America, as well as commands for basic attacks, special powers, dodge, defense, and character switching.
The combat system also allows for duo combos, special attacks, and even parries with certain heroes.

A ridiculously lightweight port
One of the biggest advantages of Marvel Cosmic Invasion on Android is precisely its visual style.
Since it’s a 2D pixel art game, the load on the GPU is much lower than in recent ports of 3D games from Xbox 360 and PC.
In practice, this makes the port ridiculously lightweight compared to projects like Devil May Cry 4 and Need for Speed Carbon.
On devices with at least 6 GB of RAM, the game tends to run well without requiring a top-of-the-line smartphone. Naturally, compatibility may vary depending on the processor, GPU, and Android version.
Character switching is a central part of the gameplay
Marvel Cosmic Invasion allows you to switch between two characters at any time during the stages.
Beyond simply switching, the second hero can quickly enter the battle to perform an assist attack. There are also duo special moves, consuming the characters’ energy bar.
Some heroes have their own mechanics. Characters capable of flying, for example, can take off with a specific command, while others have defense and parry systems.

Marvel against Annihilus
The story revolves around Annihilus, who leaves the Negative Zone and begins an offensive to conquer the universe.
With Earth also threatened, different Marvel heroes must join forces to face the creatures sent by the villain.
Port is not official
It’s worth noting that this Android version is not an official release and has no connection to Marvel, Disney, or the developers responsible for the original game.
It’s yet another community-created project within this true explosion of ports and recompilations happening on Android in 2026.
And considering the current pace, it’s already becoming hard to keep up: practically every week some PC or console game shows up running directly on phones.
