Broken Ranks was released this Wednesday (21st) for Android. The isometric MMORPG from Whitemoon Games arrives on mobile devices with full cross-platform support between PC and mobile devices, allowing you to continue the same progression on both versions.
The game had already been available on PC since 2022 and now also has an Android version. All content has been translated into Brazilian Portuguese, and the launch also marks the opening of a new international server, where all players start from scratch.
A dark fantasy MMORPG on Android

Broken Ranks bets on a proposal quite different from most current mobile MMORPGs. Instead of an extremely colorful and light-hearted world, the game uses a dark low fantasy setting, with a darker, more mature, and sometimes quite humorous tone.
Whitemoon Games describes the title as a spiritual successor to The Pride of Taern, with strong inspiration from classic computer RPGs.
The narrative and world-building recall games like Baldur’s Gate, while the combat system also draws references from titles such as Disciples.
Turn-based combat with a time limit

One of Broken Ranks’ main differentiators is its battle system.
Encounters are based on tactical turns, but each player has a limited time to choose their actions. The idea is to maintain the strategic depth typical of turn-based RPGs without making battles too slow in a multiplayer environment.
The system requires the player to quickly choose attacks, skills, and other actions before time runs out, creating a more fast-paced dynamic than what is found in traditional RPGs.

Shared progression between PC and Android

With the arrival of the mobile version, Broken Ranks now works as a fully cross-platform experience between PC and Android.
Progress is shared between both versions. This means you can play on the computer, leave home, and continue the same adventure on your phone without having to start a new character.
According to Krzysztof Danilewicz, founder of Whitemoon Games, the arrival on Android represents a natural continuation of the work started with the PC version in 2022, allowing players to access the same world on different devices without losing what they have already achieved.
New international server starts from scratch

The Android launch also comes with the opening of a new international server.
Since everyone starts from scratch, the server creates an interesting opportunity for those who have never played Broken Ranks or for veteran players who want to return without encountering an already highly advanced community.
In practice, the mobile launch also works as a kind of new beginning for the game’s international community.
Quests, solo and cooperative content

Broken Ranks combines narrative-focused missions with exploration, character development, and different classes.
In addition to solo content, the MMORPG also features cooperative activities, allowing players to form groups to face more difficult challenges.
The game is free-to-play and maintains on Android the same overall structure found in the PC version.
