Gameloft has confirmed the return of Carmen Sandiego. to mobile after the game was removed from the Netflix Games catalog earlier this year. The title will be re-released on iOS on November 19, now as a standalone premium game. So far, there is no information about an Android version.
Play as the legendary scarlet thief in a mystery-filled adventure
Originally released in January as a Netflix exclusive, Carmen Sandiego. marked the comeback of the iconic character to video games, this time as the main protagonist. The game combines puzzle-solving, investigation, and exploration of real-world locations such as Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo, all recreated in a 3D world with impressive visuals.
In the story, the criminal organization VILE resurfaces with a new global plan, and Carmen must temporarily join forces with ACME to stop the next big heist.
Global exploration, gadgets, and investigations in “super spy” style
Besides the detailed environments, the game includes suspect interviews, investigative mini-games, and the use of several gadgets — from gliders and grappling hooks to night vision, UV, and thermal tools to uncover hidden clues.
The entire experience is played from Carmen’s own perspective, giving players the chance to step into the shoes of the most famous thief in pop culture for the first time in an official game.
Return after cancellation
The title had been removed from the Netflix catalog along with 21 other games in July, causing frustration among fans. Now, Gameloft has reclaimed the project and promises a solid, independent relaunch.

Availability and price
Carmen Sandiego. arrives on iOS on November 19 for US$ 4.99 (R$ 24.90). There is still no release date for Android.
