After leaving Apple Arcade about a year ago, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is ready to return to mobile, this time as a standalone release. The game, developed by Cornfox & Brothers Ltd. and published by FDG Entertainment, has just launched on Android. Originally released as an Apple Arcade exclusive, the title now aims to reach a wider audience while keeping its focus on cooperative gameplay and elements inspired by classic action RPGs. Interestingly, the developer has yet to comment on a possible release of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm on other platforms.

200 years later: a new mission in the Oceanhorn universe
Chronos Dungeon is set two centuries after the events of Oceanhorn 2, in a fragmented world where the once-glorious Kingdom of Arcadia has been reduced to hundreds of islands. In this setting, four heroes set out to find the Paradigm Hourglass, a mythical artifact capable of altering the fate of humanity.
Controlling characters such as the Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage, players explore the depths of the mysterious Chronos Dungeon. Each character has unique abilities and combat styles, adding variety to the gameplay and encouraging cooperation among players.
Dynamic gameplay inspired by Zelda
With strong influences from titles like The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon continues the franchise’s tradition by offering an experience that blends nostalgia with modern mechanics. The game allows up to four players in local co-op mode, but can also be played solo by controlling all heroes together.
One of its main highlights is the roguelike structure: each session features random modifiers, ensuring no run is ever the same. Characters start each run with different attributes based on their zodiac signs, offering new strategies on every adventure.

Content, challenge, and replayability
The title promises epic boss battles, a wide variety of items, and a progression system that rewards player learning. The combination of fast-paced combat, procedural generation, and diverse classes results in a dungeon crawler that’s accessible yet deep enough to keep players engaged for hours.
With pixel-art graphics and a soundtrack reminiscent of the 16-bit era, the game is perfect for fans of retro RPGs and for those seeking cooperative experiences on mobile or PC.
