New upgrade package coming between June and September with a focus on performance, mobility, and immersion
The popular battle royale Farlight 84 is gearing up for one of the biggest updates in its history. Scheduled to arrive between June and September 2025, the new summer update promises to elevate the experience with a revamped first-person mode (FPP), new mobility tools, graphical improvements, and several technical adjustments.

According to the developers at Farlight Games, the goal is to make FPP mode more agile and immersive, with gameplay described as “fast, loud, and personal,” clearly taking cues from titles like Apex Legends.
Zip lines and improved maps
Among the main highlights is the addition of zip lines. Besides allowing fast movement, they will be strategically integrated into key map areas like fortresses, expanding tactical positioning and rotation options. During traversal, players will be able to jump mid-route or even use their heroes’ special abilities.
Additionally, maps will receive visual and technical updates, with a focus on areas like Nextara, which will be optimized for better performance. Battle audio will be improved to better detect gunfire and enemy footsteps. Voice chat issues will also be addressed.

New “Buddies,” skins, and visual redesigns
The update will also bring new Buddies—companions that assist during matches—and more customization options. A highlight is the hero Syfer, who will receive a full visual redesign.
With all these new features, Farlight 84 aims to overturn the “missed opportunity” perception and further establish itself as a solid choice in the mobile shooter universe.
When is it coming?
The update is expected to launch in summer 2025, which corresponds to the period between June and September. Behind-the-scenes information suggests July might be the chosen month, but the official release date has not yet been confirmed.
