NeoSpace Games, a Brazilian developer, has officially unveiled ASTRON, a new launcher that promises to turn any Android smartphone into a true gaming console. Much more than just a launcher, ASTRON is emerging as an app and game store focused on accessibility, performance, and support for national development.
With the slogan “your phone, your console,” the project aims to democratize access to high-quality mobile gaming experiences. The standout feature? A system that works with any Bluetooth controller on the market, without the need for expensive peripherals, while using minimal memory and not compromising game performance while running in the background.

What exactly is the ASTRON Launcher?
The ASTRON Launcher is an app that organizes your games and, upon launching them, gives your phone the look and feel of a gaming console. It’s like seeing everything arranged as it would be on a PlayStation 5, Xbox, or Switch.
It may sound simple, but surprisingly, there aren’t many apps like this — and the few that exist tend to have so many settings that they end up confusing most users.
A launcher like this is ideal for those who play with a controller or on a TV box or monitor.
Own digital store focused on national developers
In addition to the launcher, ASTRON will have its own digital store, where indie studios will be able to publish their games with lower fees than those charged by the big platforms. The goal is to offer a fairer environment for Brazilian developers and a more affordable option for players.
NeoSpace Games has stated that there will be a commission fee, but it will be defined based on market research and community dialogue — especially with the aim of supporting local studios.
Original IPs and upcoming beta phase
To make ASTRON even more appealing, NeoSpace is developing two exclusive intellectual properties (IPs), promising engaging stories and innovative mechanics. One of the titles is already in advanced production and will be released within the platform as a sort of official “debut game.”
The next step for the project is the launch of a closed beta, which will test system performance across various smartphone models. According to the company, the tests already include advanced technical mappings, which will allow for a more stable and locally adapted release.
Future vision: TVs, gamepads, and the growth of the national market
As part of an expansion strategy, NeoSpace Games plans to bring ASTRON to other platforms, including Android TVs, broadening the goal of turning not just the phone — but also the television — into a complete gaming center.
The company is also seeking partnerships with manufacturers to develop affordable controllers and gamepads, focusing on technical quality and fair pricing, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion in the gaming market.
I can see ASTRON fitting perfectly on TV boxes and for those who enjoy gaming with their phone plugged into a TV or monitor.
A bet on Brazil
“We want ASTRON to become the main platform for a new generation of gamers,” says the team. “We deeply believe in Brazil and in the power of collaboration to boost the national scene.”
With an ambitious proposal, a strong national identity, and a clear vision of the challenges and opportunities in the mobile market, ASTRON emerges as a bold alternative to the current digital consumption model.
What I think about the ASTRON Launcher
I found the concept of the ASTRON Launcher really interesting. It’s something that’s truly missing in the market.
There are, indeed, launchers similar to the “gamer” mode, such as those from HyperOS (Xiaomi) and One UI (Samsung), but both fall short when it comes to usability.
Outside of proprietary systems, there’s Daijisho, but making it recognize Android apps is such a hassle that it discourages most users.
The main appeal of a game launcher is automation: recognizing which apps are games and displaying them front and center, just like a gaming console would.
ASTRON seems to be exactly what we were looking for: a launcher that opens, does all the work on its own — and looks beautiful.
